Stories of humanity & humour
Wendy Green is an author who lives on the south coast of New South Wales in Australia. Her fictional stories are an exploration into the human condition, often seeking the humor in a given situation.

Discretion Point
Kate and Ray March are on holidays; travelling a 1600 km journey northward in search of renewal. And on the verge of a yet unseen tropical cyclone, Kate must decide what really matters. Is it more of the same? The man who knows her every charm and foible, her partner for the last twenty years? The one who takes her for granted? More of the comfortable - though mundane - life they’ve made together in the 'burbs with their three children?Or is it her first true love, Rick Lyons?Torn from her arms over two decades ago by a ruthless seductress and a heartless mother, Rick is now so close will she be able to touch her past with more clarity?Kate is challenged by her emotions as they come flooding back as swiftly as the storm surge rises on the coast. The turmoil in her heart is only matched by the chaos in the weather.Travel the journey with Kate as she follows the music in her heart in search of her life’s true melody.
Interception
The imagination is a devilish thing at 3:47 in the morning when the pitch dark of the night closes in on you. When you've been woken from a very deep sleep by a sound in your house that shouldn't be there...Who or what was lurking in De'dee's house that night and what was she brave enough to do about it?Follow De'dee as she tries to unravel the mysteries unfolding, uninvited, in her life. And discover how sometimes - when you least expect it - a silver lining appears on every cloudy day. This novella was originally a story from the author's first book of short stories and poetry titled, "ReCollections". She has expanded it into this fun novella for the enjoyment of her busy readers who can't seem to ever find the time for a lengthy novel. Wendy hopes readers will enjoy the wit, entanglement, and often comedic circumstances De'dee finds herself a part of.

Recollections
ReCollections is Wendy's first published work; a fanciful grouping of short stories and poetry released in 2009 while she was working on her first novel.Follow the drama and tension of "The Cat's Whisker's Cafe", as a waitress is hunted down by a disgruntled customer, right to her front door.Feel the desperation rising in "Folk Festival", as a young woman gets lost in the Blue Mountains of New South Wales.Allow yourself to be touched by, "Dorothy Rosemary"; a daughter's story of a mother, lost in the fog of dementia, and losing her, inch by precious inch, as her time runs out.Laugh along with the characters and antidotes in, "Tea Party"; a story that gets more absurd with each turn of the page.Interspersed throughout the book are rhythmical poems, composed by the author over several years, and collated into the work for the reader's enjoyment.
About the Author
Wendy Green is an author, a mother and grandmother, a volunteer and, from 2022, a widow. Wendy is a Christian whose beliefs are reflected in her prose; you won't find anything unsavoury in her writing, but that doesn't exclude drama and intrigue.Wendy's first foray into writing began when she was just a child, creating stories about her world growing up in the 1960's and 70's on the border of the Royal National Park in NSW, Australia. However, it wasn't until her four children were in high school that she was able to produce and self-publish a book of poetry and short stories titled, "ReCollections". And then she had to wait until her troubled marriage ended, her children were all grown up, and she had married the love of her life that she was finally able to complete her first novel, "Discretion Point".Wendy draws on her life experiences to inform her writing. Married at just 19, Wendy struggled through a difficult marriage until finally breaking free after 18 years of marital disappointment, the only saving grace being the birth of each of her four children and nurturing them into adulthood. Her life took a dramatic turn for the better when she met her soul mate in 1996, marrying him the following year. They spent the next 25 years traveling and sharing their loves, their adventures, and their heartaches together. It was Wendy's second husband, Phil, who encouraged her writing and personal development. Unfortunately, Phil died too young just a few weeks after their 25th Wedding Anniversary. Wendy is now making her way through grief and navigating her path as a widow. Her involvement in charity groups and online communities keeps her pecker up and her momentum to write rolling along.Wendy has more stories to tell and will continue to write stories about the human experience in relationships and circumstances. Wendy believes our life choices are what make us who we are; navigating the consequences of those choices make up the tapestry of our life.Wendy can be contacted via this website or at blogger.com
